Rev. Carmen Scaffidi– Unity Minister & Spiritual Leader

Rev. Carmen is a Ordained Unity Minister and the Spiritual Leader of Unity Center Massachusetts, where she is dedicated to inspiring and uplifting individuals on their spiritual journey. With a deep passion for the Unity teachings, she empowers her community to live with faith, love, and prosperity, rooted in the awareness of their divine nature.

From an early age, Rev. Carmen felt a profound calling to serve and support others in their spiritual growth. This calling led her to study New Thought principles and immerse herself in Unity teachings, deepening her understanding of spiritual Truth and its practical application in daily life. Her journey of faith has been enriched by meditation, prayer, and a commitment to conscious living.

As a leader, Rev. Carmen fosters a welcoming and transformative environment where people of all backgrounds can explore their spirituality, connect with the Divine, and embrace their unlimited potential. She integrates Unity principles into her ministry, offering inspiring messages, practical teachings, and compassionate spiritual guidance.

    Rev Claud was appointed the Spiritual Leader of Unity of Central Massachusetts in February of 2023. She has been a spiritual seeker and truth student since her late teens where she first got exposed to meditation, various 12-step fellowships, a Course in Miracles, and Buddhist philosophy.  A short time later, she found the Daily Word publication. She began attending Unity services in 2008 and began to immerse herself in the teachings of Charles and Myrtle Fillmore and other New Thought & Unity pioneers through both formal Unity classes and self-study. 

    • She became the Music Minister and Choir Leader at Unity of Central Massachusetts (UCM) while it was still in Worcester, MA.   
    • She then joined with several UCM members and founded Unity Radiant Light (URL) in Providence, Rhode Island in 2009.
    • From 2010 through 2014 Claudia released several Spiritually based Music CDs
    • In 2011, as part of her quest to go deeper into spiritual practice, Claudia became an ordained Minister and received her Master’s in Metaphysical Science from the University of Metaphysics.  
      • Through this curriculum she studied the disciplines of Metaphysical Psychology of Consciousness, Pastoral Psychology, Healing and Spiritual Mind Treatment Practices, The Laws of Success and Prosperity, Motivation, Dream Interpretation, Meditation, The Bible and Metaphysics, Yoga, Reincarnation and more.
    • In 2011 Claudia founded the Rhode Island Center for Metaphysics (RICM), a non-profit spiritual organization. Through RICM, Claudia led several programs and for several years a Thursday night meditation group.
    • Also In 2011, Claudia was led to Self-Realization Fellowship (SRF) and the teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda, and she never looked back. She became a devotee of Yogananda, started taking his lessons and has become a Kriyaban.  These practices have materially heightened her spiritual consciousness. She is faithful to twice daily meditations and spiritual practice through SRF methods as she continues to use this life to find God in all things and go ever deeper in her spiritual connection.
    • Since 2012 Claudia has been a devoted member of the URL prayer team.
    • She has a background in web and mobile development and looks forward to using that skill set to help enhance the worship experience in creative ways.
    • Rev Claud is currently enrolled in several Unity classes in pursuit of becoming an Ordained Unity Minster
